The night of churches
The Church of Infant Jesus will offer the experience an unusual meeting with the space of the church and with the stories of human lives during the Night of churches on June 10, 2016. You are invited to a tour which goes from the noise of the city street up to the sacred silence behind the main altar. During your visit you will be guided by:
- New liturgical artefacts by academic sculptor Otmar Oliva. The baptistery, ambon, altar and cross build a central line and enter the dialogue with the baroque historical interior of the church.
- Exhibition of photography by Eugen Kukla guides you on your tour through the church. A human who needs closeness and affinity of neighbours and at the same time makes himself closer to them stands in the center of the pictures. An extraordinary installation on the floor of the church offers a possibility to touch the acts of charity which they represent.
- The grains of the dialogue. Make yourself a part of the Dialogue of the Spaces. Leave a message in the sand, which will be broadcasted in real time to welcome the newcomers to the church.
The Night of churches takes place on Friday June, 10th 2016.
All parts of the program run continuously from 7 p.m. until midnight.
